Defence Says Troops Has Killed Notorious Terrorists Auta In Zamfara State

The Nigerian Armed Forces have recorded a significant breakthrough in their ongoing efforts to combat terrorism in the North-West.

Troops operating under Operation Fasan Yamma have successfully neutralized several high-profile terrorists during an offensive in Zamfara State.

According to Major General Markus Kangye, Director of Defence Media Operations, in a Statement, the operation took place on June 10 around Ƙunchin Kalgo town in Tsafe Local Government Area.
During the raid, troops eliminated a notorious terrorist known as Auta, along with his close associates Abdul Jamilu and Salisu. All three were linked to multiple acts of violence and terror in the region.

Preliminary intelligence indicates that two additional terrorist leaders, including one identified as Babayé, were also killed in the operation.

In a separate but related incident, troops reportedly neutralized Sale Ado Madele, also known as Sarki, the eldest son of well-known bandit leader Ado Alieru.

In another confrontation, troops engaged and killed ten terrorists near a filling station in Danjibga.

The group was believed to have been assembled by a known terrorist figure, Dogo Sule, in preparation for an attack.

The Nigerian Armed Forces say the operation represents a major blow to the network of criminal elements destabilizing the area.

They reaffirmed their commitment to restoring peace and ensuring the safety of residents in Zamfara State and across the wider North-West region.
